![]() ![]() The Long Walk - One of the lesser Bachman books. Despite this, I think Rage is a thoughtful portrayal of teen angst and male energy. I can understand why it is not in print but this form of censorship doesn't sit well with me. Frankly, I was disappointed in how difficult it was to find and I wish it was still in print. Rage - I had to find a digital copy of this through a school library. While the movie is a classic, this book is a classic for different reasons. The book is so good in its depiction of alcoholism and fatherhood. I was also familiar with King's criticism of the movie. The Shining - I was really familiar with the movie before reading this. King is able to take classic stories/lore, in this case, vampires, and iterate upon them. Salem's Lot - One of my favorites, if not my favorite. ![]() This starts Constant Readers on a long path of telepathic/telekinetic powers. Carrie has entered the mainstream ad nauseam, but the source material remains a chilling tale about a daughter and her mother. ![]() Be careful reading ahead if you don't want spoilers.Ĭarrie - As a debut novel, this delivers a heartfelt story and shows so much promise. ![]() Here the list in chronological order with some of my thoughts on each. I just finished this week (except for his new one, Later, which I can't wait to start). When COVID hit and I was in quarantine, I decided that I was finally going to read or listen to every Stephen King novel. I have been a King fan since high school. ![]()
